MSNBC is reporting here that Sen. Barack Obama is the projected winnner of Georgia’s Democratic Primary, in a Super Tuesday that could determine if the Illinois Senator remains a candidate for the Democratic nomination for President. Obama has had a strong showing and currently leads New York Sen. Hillary Clinton in the delegate count, as he now has 79 to Clinton’s 48.
The Republican race in Georgia however is too close to call, reports MSNBC, with Sen. John McCain, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Massachuesetts Gov. Mitt Romney battling for delegates.
So far a good showing from Obama, hopefully he can keep up the momentum and maintain a lead in the delegate count.
