It is thirty five minutes until 1pm and people are just starting to slowly walk up to the doors here at Beacon Hill Elementary in Seattle’s 37th district. Currently, volunteers are buzzing around putting up signs and directing people to thier precinct. The word is record turnouts, and many people who have never caucused before ever. Even young people who are not able to vote yet have shown up to just observe the process. I spoke with volunteer, Graham Klym, who is here to vote for Obama, whom he has seen speak for four years, and the most important issues to him are the environment, ethics reform, and pulling lobbyists out of Washington. Currently it is overcast but it seems the sun is starting to peek out of the clouds….Here is a photo of setup taken five minutes ago…..
