Is Hillary’s “Solution” A Fix To Her Problem

As the primary election moves forward, two upcoming and very crucial states for Hillary and Obama are at stake. Texas has 228 delegates, and Ohio has 161 delegates. As attention is drawn to these “delegate heavy” states, Hillary is making sure she reaches out to voters in any way she can, including some new talk about solutions. For example CNN.com reported: at a campaign stop in Ohio today at a General Motors Corporation she told the crowd:
“There’s a big difference between us — speeches versus solutions, talk versus action.”
And also from CNN.com: only the day before in Texas she said:
“I am in the solutions business. My opponent is in the promises business.”
Will the new “solutions talk” help her? Who knows, it’s too soon to tell. Yes, solutions are needed for many issues that our country is faced with; record numbers of voter turnout reflect that. However, Hillary is running against Obama, whose audience connects to him. He talks about “we” and “hope,” and elicits an emotional response from his supporters. I have seen this first hand. I have spoken to Obama supporters at caucuses in Idaho and Washington, and also to supporters just after they heard him speak at one of his rallies that drew thousands. So, Hillary, whose policies aren’t polar opposite from Obamas, speaks to people about solutions to issues. These issues include the war, the economy, and healthcare, and these issues affect people on an emotional level. Hillary has a big problem if she does not win in Texas and Ohio, many experts say the race would be over for her. March 4th is a big day, and one thing is for certain, Hillary is hoping it’s a “solution,” to her current problem.
