Today’s Uncertainties

2:39 pm February 19th, 2008 by Cailinm · No Comments

In less than four hours the first polls will close in Wisconsin.  Today people in Wisconsin, Hawaii and Washington will cast their votes for their presidential candidate of choice.

Right now, Clinton has a commanding lead among working class women and Wisconsin is practically made for Clinton’s campaign.  Wisconsin is mostly white and working class.  If Clinton loses this state, could it be the beginning of the end?  Today 94 Democratic delegates are at stake and right now and the contests are close.

Today is also an important day for John McCain; he is looking for a clean sweep so he can finally eliminate his last competitor, Mick Huckabee.  With this outcome, he can finally officially target the Democrats as the presumptive nominee.

The Clinton campaign is in disarray right now.  Today even, there were reports that she may be planning to go after Obama’s pledged delegates to sway them to her side.  But if she wins today, she can begin to get her campaign back on track.  People in Wisconsin are worried about trade and the economy and among the Democrats and this is something that has the voters split down the middle.

Today, Wisconsin promises to be interest.
