Trouble on the home front?

The New York Times reported this evening that Senator John McCain may have some ethical questions to answer to about a relationship earlier in his political career.
Apparently, back in 2000, McCain’s advisor’s had to step in and manage a relationship situation between McCain and a lobbyist, Vicki Iseman.

Though both parties have denied the story, this could have an impact on the Senator’s popularity among his party and independents going into the remaining days of the race.

Critics are saying that The Times reporting on this issue is a political move, because they uncovered the story back in December. The Times claims that they didn’t have enough information to come out with the story previous to now.

So, while this is still being uncovered, and everyone waiting for McCain to make a move, where will the other candidates go?

MSNBC reports that it is likely that the other candidates will do nothing in the meantime, but do remember the Mitt Romney has not withdrawn from the election, simply suspended his campaign.

It will be interesting to see how the likely Presidential nominee handles the situation and how some of the conservative republicans, who are not completely sold on McCain, react to the allegations.

Here is a video from MSNBC on this breaking news story.
