Bobby Kennedy’s son, Max Kennedy, entered the UT Obama HQ about 15 minutes ago, stood up on a chair, and asked all the student volunteers to pick up some call sheets and start making calls for Barack Obama.

He grabbed a call sheet for himself, sat on a couch and began making calls.

Kate Walsh is about to come out and the students and volunteers are “fired up.”

Former president of UT University Democrats Brandon Chicotsky estimates there are about 200 students, volunteers, press and staff here right now.

“The attention that’s being paid to the office is only a fraction of the attention being paid to the election,” said Chicotsky. “The online system through the Barack Obama Web site is so highly advanced that we are even able to mobilize people in their homes.

“Max Kennedy is here to fire up those who are physically committed, not just those who are electronically committed.”
