AUSTIN, TX- They’ve come from all over. Boston, Seattle, California and of course, Texas.

The volunteers for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign are out in full force here in Austin, this morning, despite the blistering Seattle-like weather: rain, rain and more rain.

They’re making calls, they’re taking calls. Walking neightborhoods, standing on street-corners, and putting gigantic signs all over this metropolis.

“I think we’ll have 400-500 volunteers coming in and out today,” Kara Lynn, a volunteer from Los Angeles said.

A little chaotic, the atmosphere was full of excitement, and a bit of nervousness. This is, after all, quite the important day for the Clinton campaign.

One University of Texas student, Chelsi Splawn, has been skipping class for the past four days to volunteer for Hillary. Many of the volunteers have been here since 6:30 a.m., and are planning on volunteering throughout the night. The volunteers are taking shifts to go out on the streets, make phone calls, and pass out flyers.

Things are sure to pick up even more as fellow volunteers get off work, get out of class, and so on.

We’ll keep you posted throughout the day.
