The air is chilly, and the atmosphere tense here at the Barack Obama rally in San Antonio, TX.

Preliminary numbers are just starting to come in, and the tight race that was expected is playing out to be just that.

Currently, 8.62 percent of the vote is in, with 1,099,974 of the 12, 752, 407 registered voters counted as of now.

Clinton has a slight lead, with 547,770 votes, Obama with 531,316 votes.

Obama has a commanding vote lead in Travis County (Austin), with 63,154 votes compared to Clinton’s 33,401. 17.49 percent of voter results are in. Obama is also pulling ahead in Dallas County, with 81,245 votes to Clinton’s 41,318. 10.95 percent of votes are in.

Clinton is winning Bexar County (San Antonio) with 56,013 votes to Obama’s 46,210. 11.82 percent of votes are in.

Harris County, where Houston lies, has the highest voter concentration, and preliminary results have not yet been released.

It truly is a crap-shoot, and we will keep you posted from Obama headquarters.
