Clinton took Ohio on her base support of older voters, blue collar workers, and whites, according to exit polls cited in this Guardian article.
To use her turn of phrase, I find it very curious–yes, very curious–that in this confetti-filled thank you speech from CNN, she frames herself as a comeback kid when
(1) She’s an integral part of the Clinton machine. She has not only the support of a former president and all the political power that brings with, but also the facial recognition.
(2) She was so far ahead before things started to turn in Iowa, that it’s obvious to everyone except her that Obama was the under dog and has come from behind. In the last year of campaigning he only started polling better than her in the last few months. According to this graph, sometime around late December he pulled ahead.

I guess it’s good for all of us that she’s a fighter. You know, the kind that can afford to lend it’s campaign 5 million dollars?
