Slowly but Surely the results come in from Texas

6:44 pm March 4th, 2008 by Cailinm · No Comments

Texas is too close to call for the Democrats.  John McCain has already clinched the Republican nomination and Mike Huckabee has dropped out of the race.  McCain will head to the white house tomorrow for President Bush’s official endorsement.  All of this happened in the matter of an hour.

With just 4% of the vote counted, Barack Obama is winning with 53% to Clinton’s 46% here in Texas.  This is not that surprising based on the turnout for Obama’s events in Texas versus the turnout for Clinton’s.  It is important that tonight, Clinton make headway against Obama’s lead in delegates.  Some are saying just Ohio will not be enough for her to go on.

The results are still flowing in slowly and steadily.  Right now, Clinton is in Ohio and Obama is in Texas and each will not be giving speeches for some time, soon there will be John McCain’s victory speech and then Ohio and Texas will remain too close to call.
