Over the weekend I spent a couple days in Houston, Texas following the large GLBT community in the Montrose area. I attended events for a GLBT steering committee for Obama as well as a Stonewall Democrats event for Clinton. During these adventures I observed some interesting things and met some even more interesting people.
One such person was a gay Republican who held dissapointment for his party. He had decided that Obama was the candidate he wanted to support in this election, one problem, he was President of the Log Cabin Republicans-Houston Chapter.
To read more about why he decided to make the switch, what he will do about his position in the LCR, and what he will do if Obama doesn’t prevail check out the full article on The Advocate website.
