After four days of sleep deprivation and sitting on a bus for ten hours a day, we snapped. And we wrote Gov. Christine Gregoire’s new campaign song to the theme of “Louie Louie.”

There was a lot of discussion and planning that went into this. This morning Gregoire said, “It’s my favorite song. We’d go over to the HUB [at the University of Washington where the governor attended college] and spend hours dancing to ‘Louie Louie’ as they played it over and over again.”

This is our rehearsal. Lyrics by executive director of the Washington Council of Police, Bill Hanson, and State Patrol Troopers Association President, Tom Pillow. Musical direction by Gov. Christine Gregoire.
