When the story started showing up SeattlePoliticore was right there weighing in on the importance of Obama’s comments.
We brought Obama’s responses and even a death-knell prediction for at least one campaign, which we don’t know yet:
The Bitter-gate comments by Barack Obama are now viral and have become the talk of the Democratic Party’s presidential contest. For Hillary Clinton, this is it. […] Her take-home point is simple and not subtle: She loves this country and its people, and he does not. […] Either Clinton or Obama’s candidacy will be destroyed by this. Or perhaps both will be.
Now, however, after the time when we normally see these small issues pass on, this one, bitter issue keeps coming up as citizens and analysts alike muse over elitism and the elite.
It does seem that despite Obama’s responses and apologies that what he said is going to have some staying power in our memories, especially when Hillary Clinton brings it up this next week and John McCain follows suit, should Obama take the Democratic Nomination.
The question becomes, how will a couple of comments affect the Obama campaign?
We’ve sat by and seen Senator Obama sidestep comments from his wife about patriotism. We’ve seen him handle, head-on the issue of modern-day racism and talk about comments from his pastor.
After all that, and more, when you take the most recent scandal into view it seems, to this student at least, that the American people don’t really care. Sure I’d be pissed off if someone said I was bitter, but then if I thought about it and realized I am bitter I’d say, “Okay, how do we make this better?”
We’ll see if it affects the campaign in Pennsylvania, which will decide who is going to be the nominee once and for all, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Obama come out unscathed.
The man is armored in popularity, and for better or worse his campaign appears unstoppable, Super Tuesday didn’t kill him, Texas and Ohio didn’t kill him… I for one, don’t think his campaign can be put down.

White people are bitter and frustrated. Better-qualified white students, employees, etc. face intense racial discrimination. Obama and his liberal comrades call it “Affirmative Action”.
Millions of white Americans see “people who aren’t like them” illegals and inner-city parasites sucking up on free benefits.
Millions of tax paying white Americans can no longer use the public school system because “people who aren’t like them” have made the schools awash with violence, drugs, and gangster rap.
Obama slipped and let his real feelings shine through what he thinks about working people to a bunch of elite Democrats. He thinks they are a bunch of gun toting jesus freaks. Obama really thinks like his preacher WRIGHT.
