Obama’s former pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, has chosen to speak out. Bill Moyers airs an interview tonight with Wright addressing the controversy. Here is a clip.

I don’t think this helps the Barack Obama campaign in any way. The next upcoming primary, Indiana, is a statistical tie between Hillary Clinton and Obama, according to an Indianapolis poll. Obama doesn’t need the networks playing Wright soundbytes over and over.

Why would Wright choose to speak out right now? Ouch. Any other time, except for right before the next upcoming primary state, would have been a better time. Any other time for Obama.
