At least when it comes to the gas tax, according to a new campaign video.

Found over on Politico, the advertisement (posted below) asks “What has happened to Barack Obama?” and states directly, “He’s attacking Hillary’s plan to give you a break on gas prices because he doesn’t have one.”

As far as political ads go, this one is good. It’s short, to the point, and pretty much untrue.

We’ve looked over the explanation from economists why Clinton’s plan to repeal the gas tax isn’t very good and we’ve also looked at Clinton’s response to those elitist economists.

The final sticking point with me on this issue is that from the very little economic research I’ve done and from the varied sources of economic experts who have come out against Clinton’s plan, it doesn’t make sense to me to repeal the tax which wouldn’t lower the price overall and allow the big oil companies to make even more profits.

Personally, I’d rather leave the price where it is (since it wouldn’t change anyway) and not let the big oil conglomerates take any more of the hard earned money from this country, maybe that’s just me though…
