Vote For Change is a 50 state voter registration mobilization drive. According to barackobama.com, grassroots volunteers, elected officials, and activists are kicking off 101 events around the country today to “register new voters and engage more people in the Democratic process prior to the November election”.
From an Obama Campaign press release: ”If we’re going to push back on the special interests and finally solve the challenges we face, we’re going to need everyone to get involved,” said Senator Obama. “Over the next six months, Vote for Change is going to bring new participants into the process, adding scores of new voices to this critical dialogue about our future. I started my career as a community organizer, and I worked to register voters in communities where hope was all but lost. I’ve seen what can happen when Americans re-engage and take ownership in the process.”
Eighteen events are being held all over Washington state today. What’s the response in the blogs about Vote For Change? Here’s just one from the Atlantic.com.
Marc Ambinder: “On election day, Obama might have more than a million individuals volunteering on his behalf. That should scare the beejeesus out of the McCain campaign and the RNC.”

In February, I spoke with one super-delegate from Idaho, and she said the Obama campaign is the most organized campaign she has ever seen.
