It’s a contested race for Governor here in Washington State. And according to a recent telephone survey conducted by Rasmussen, Governor Gregoire (D) is ahead of Dino Rossi (R) by eleven percentage points. It’s Gregoire 52% and Rossi 41%. Only a month ago the race was called a dead heat.

What about recent fundraising? Well, last month Gregoire raised roughly 1.32 million from a bus tour and an event attended by New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson. Rossi raised half that amount in April, approximately $640,000. 

This is a competitive race, and Washington is being listed as a “state to watch” in November.
